In this article we present a few Facebook tips and tricks that you may not have known yet. Check them out to see if you already knew them. If not, then master them and your facebooking experience will be a lot easier than before.
Install ‘Buffer’ on your smartphone to see Facebook analytics
Now-a-days Facebook allows post-scheduling which was unthinkable even a few months ago. But based on which app you’re using to browse Facebook, you may not be able to schedule your posts. If so, then you can install a little-sized app by name of ‘Buffer’ in your smartphone. Then you’ll surely be able to schedule your Facebook posts now. Not only that, you can even check analytics of your Facebook posts through this app.
For example, you can check how many likes, comments, shares (in a word, audience engagement) you got on your recent posts and you can check it at a glance. Normally the ‘analytics’ thing is available only for Facebook pages, not for individual accounts. Interestingly enough, the ‘Buffer’ app is usable in other social media platforms as Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Instagram. One other thing is that, you don’t need a running internet connection for scheduling a post with this app. ‘Buffer’ can be useful to you, if you use Facebook on a heavy scale. Manage your Facebook ‘log-in’s
Suppose you just lost your smartphone, it might get into a wrong hand. If it does, then they might be posting on your Facebook wall and commenting on others’ posts pretending to be you, which might be harmful for you. So you need to log out from that phone. Now you can do that, all you have to do is to go to your Facebook account’s settings page, then to ‘Security and log-in’ page. There you’ll get to see all the devices where you’re logged-in. If you see the ‘lost’ device, then simply cross it out, your Facebook account will be immediately logged out from that device. It’s that simple. The thing is that the aforementioned ‘wrong hand’ won’t be able to change your password and thus take over your account. Because in order to do that they must know the current password which they don’t.
Save Facebook posts that you wanna read later
May be you already are familiar with this Facebook tips. If you’re not, then know that you can save a certain post’s link on Facebook and can read it later. Sometimes when we quickly scroll down news feed on Facebook, we happen to encounter many interesting posts. We can instantly read some of them, but not all of them. In that case you can save that post’s link so you can read/check it out later. Here’s a short video on how to save a link on Facebook:
Once you have saved a certain link on Facebook, you can easily access it. All you have to do is to login to your Facebook account and then take a look at the left side of the screen. Then you’ll get to see the ‘Saved’ option in the ‘EXPLORE’ section, you click there and thus get to see all your recent ‘saves’. There you choose any particular link that you wanna read now. Like I said earlier, it’s that simple.
One of important Facebook tips: Not allowing anyone to post on your timeline
May be you already are acquainted with this particular Facebook tips: you know how to stop everyone from posting on your Facebook timeline. Then again may be you don’t. If you don’t and are harassed many-a-times because your Facebook friends post inappropriate contents on your Facebook wall, then you can get rid of this situation. You may choose that it’s you alone who can post on your timeline, or your Facebook friends’ posts will be shown on your timeline once you approve it.
Either way you need to go to your Facebook account’s settings page and then to ‘Timeline and Tagging’ tab. When you’re there you’ll get to see a question ‘Who can post on your timeline?’ Now you choose who can. If you choose ‘only me’, then your Facebook friends won’t be able to post on your timeline. If you choose ‘Friends’, then they’ll be able to post on your timeline. Now if you trust your Facebook friends 100% and believe that they will never post any inappropriate content on your timeline, then you don’t need to take any further actions.
If you don’t fully trust them, then there is a certain thing that you can do. In the ‘Timeline and Tagging’ page there is another question as to ‘Review posts that friends tag you in before they appear on your timeline?’ You need to click on the ‘Edit’ option to its right and then make change from ‘Disabled’ to ‘Enabled’ and then hit the ‘Close’ button. There you have it, your friends’ posts will appear on your Facebook wall if and only if you approve them.
