You might be a YouTuber or a simple computer user, many-a-times you may have to go through a horrible experience: your computer being slow doesn’t tend to finish the job it is supposed to do. That’s why today we come up with a brand-new article to educate you on how to speed up computer. Stay tuned.
Update/upgrade your PC today
You know technology is booming up day by day. But many of us don’t have the tendency to update ourselves or our gadgets with the same rhythm as technology. That’s why we’re being gradually backdated. Are you sure that your PC (personal computer) configuration is up-to-date? If not, then isn’t it time to upgrade your PC systems? From my experience, I’ve seen that most people still work with a dual core 2 GB ram PC to this day.
Take Firefox browser for example. Many allege that when they start this browser and open a few tabs, their PC seems to get slow and non-functioning. The thing is that previously websites ran only on HTML, but now-a-days many powerful programs are running in these sites’ background, like flash, JavaScript etc. These programs make the site feel heavy. Take YouTube for example. If you try to open youtube.com with an older version browser, then you may get a message saying that ‘This version of browser is no longer supported. Please update your browser.’ (This article is on How to speed up computer.)
The reason is that these websites now requires more performance and power from your computer. If your PC is not powerful enough to handle them properly, then they won’t load or show up appropriately. That’s when your PC seems to be slow and non-functioning. Not only websites, but also any apps that you use in your PC are updating/upgrading day by day. And they require more powerful computer with their ever-continuing up-gradation. So update/upgrade your PC right away. For a computer now-a-days use at least 4 GB ram. Also change the processor to core i3 or better, if possible.
Check-up the health of your hard-disk
You need to check-up the health of your hard-disk from time-to-time. Use a software with the name hdsentinel to do that. Visit http://www.hdsentinel.com/ to have this software. Also make sure that your HDD is not over 90% full, try to keep it under 90%. Remove/delete/back-up unnecessary or (not-so-important) data from your HDD.
Keep your device (PC) neat and clean physically
You may have a desktop or laptop computer. Your duty is to clean it physically once in a while. If it is a desktop, then you can use a blower and a brush to clear out the dust. If it is a laptop, then you should visit a service center to get the job done. If your computer is free from dust then it is supposed to perform better.(This article is on How to speed up computer.)
Wondering how to speed up computer? Check if your PC is infected by virus
If your computer is suddenly super-slow, then there is a possibility that it has been infected with virus. You should check that with an antivirus software. There is also another way to detect any possible virus-infection. Go through the following steps:
Run Ctrl+Shift+Esc or Ctrl+Alt+del from your PC keyboard, the ‘Task manager’ will open.
Click on the memory column. This is basically the memory occupation of the RAM. if you find that an app/program is using too much of your ram memory whereas it should not or even is not running at all at this moment, then you should realize that there is something wrong with that app. You have to check that with your antivirus program. If needed, you can even uninstall it and then reinstall. (This article is on How to speed up computer)
Remove unnecessary Add-ons and extensions from your browser
When you intend to browse the internet with your particular browser, it might get slow (pages not loading fast). In that case check if there are any unnecessary Add-ons or extensions on your browser. If there is, then get rid of them. Also remove any unnecessary or not-so-necessary apps/programs from your PC so that it finds an opportunity to get faster now.
Sometimes pressing the F5 or ‘Refresh’ button on your keyboard might speed your PC a little bit. That’s why when your computer seems to be jammed, you can go to (or focus) the ‘Desktop’, then using the right button of your mouse do the refresh thing, or simply press the F5 button on your keypad. Now that you have gone through the above-mentioned preliminaries to speed-up your computer, it’s time to take some advanced actions, if you still feel that your PC is not fast enough.
