If you own a Facebook page, then you are surely privy to the information that your fans may get frustrated about you as the admin, even about the page itself; if they get late replies to their sent messages. You sure can not stay online all the time to answer their queries or reply to their comments/complements/suggestions. But there is one thing you can do: you can activate auto messaging to them from your Facebook page. Now learn how to do that.
Go to your page’s settings and to the left you will see a few tabs as shown below:
Click on the ‘Messaging’ tab, then to the right of the screen you’ll see ‘Messaging settings’ section. Scroll down a little bit to see ‘Response Assistant’ section.
By default, auto-messaging is turned off for your Facebook page. But you need to turn that on now by clicking the ‘No’ button. Upon clicking the ‘No’ will change into ‘Yes’ and you’ll get to see a few options which were not there before. By default, your page’s auto-answer is ‘Thanks for messaging us. We try to be as responsive as possible. We’ll get back to you soon’. Nevertheless you can customize it. You can write/select your own instant-reply, in any style/format and font. In order to do the change, simply click on the ‘Change’ button. Then in the ‘Your Instant Reply’ sub-section, type your own custom auto-reply. Remember that the maximum size of this auto-message is 250 characters. Once you’re done typing, click on the ‘Save’ button. Thus you enabled your page’s auto-reply option, that too with your preference.
Here are a few tips while actually replying to your fans’ messages: (1) try to be as much polite and diplomatic as you can in your replies. (2) Be sure to reply fast to those fans who are regular to your Facebook page in activities. (3) If someone sends you an insulting message, then don’t get hot-headed; handle the situation with your ‘cool’. If someone really crosses the line, don’t hesitate to ban them on your Facebook page.
